Gaylord liner retention for preform dumping and filling

A loose liner can eject from a Gaylord bulk bin during tipping and dumping, enter downstream equipment, and cause a jam. BagBlocker Lids hold the liner at the bin opening while material flows out, with configurations for different preform dumping setups and a separate static filling application.

BagBlocker™ Lids

How can a Gaylord liner reach downstream preform-feeding equipment?

During dumping, an unsecured liner can leave the bin along with the material. If it reaches a downstream conveyor or other feeding equipment, it can cause a liner-related jam and production stop.

Retaining the liner at the bin opening addresses that part of the material-transfer process.

How does BagBlocker hold the bag while material flows out?

The retention frame and hold-downs keep the liner at the Gaylord opening while the contents pass through the selected lid configuration. The frame uses HDPE plastic, with stainless-steel components.

The stainless steel components do not come in contact with materials being dumped, and using the softer HDPE plastic for the frame ensures no damage to the materials you are dumping.

Choose the configuration based on the material and equipment involved in your operation.

Which options are available for Krones and TEC dumpers?

The product page offers a Krones dumper configuration, a TEC dumper configuration, a TEC option for larger preforms, and a separate configuration for static Gaylord liner retention during filling.

The static filling option serves a different task from dumping. Select the variation that matches your application, then confirm fit for the actual machine and bin. If you have a different need from what’s available, you can contact us, and we can help make your solution at no extra cost.

What information is needed to check fit?

Provide the dumper or tipper manufacturer and model, the Gaylord opening dimensions, and the material being handled. Photos of the bin opening and dumping setup help explain the intended installation.

Additionally please include the size or dimensions relevant to material flow through the lid.

Can a lid be sized for a different Gaylord or material?

The listed reference size is 40 by 48 inches. Configurations can be reviewed for different bin or material requirements; confirm the dimensions and configuration before ordering.

We can assist if you have a different sized container used for dumping.

What help is available for first-time setup?

First-time use includes an initial consultation. Use that conversation to review the selected configuration, bin setup, and operator workflow. We will provide industry tips based on what other facilities have done so your first time use and implementation go smoothly.

What warranty and purchase guarantee are included?

BagBlocker includes a 3-year warranty and a 60-day money-back guarantee. We want to make sure you are happy with your purchase!
